Buildings, like the people they serve, grow old and need maintenance along their life cycle, and sometimes even major change. In this course, students will learn what it takes to manage a building, including the operation and maintenance of building systems such as the exterior envelope and electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Critical spaces, fire/life safety systems, utilities, and maintenance for specific building systems will also be addressed.
