ABUS4213: Owning and Managing a Building

Buildings, like the people they serve, grow old and need maintenance along their life cycle, and sometimes even major change. In this course, students will learn what it takes to manage a building, including the operation and maintenance of building systems such as the exterior envelope and electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Critical spaces, fire/life safety systems, utilities, and maintenance for specific building systems will also be addressed. Recommended Prereq: Completion of 30 credits
