CEGE4417: Structural Engineering Design of Wood Buildings

This course provides an in-depth presentation of topics in the design of wood structures. The course is intended for advanced undergraduate and entering graduate students. Topics covered in the course include: wood properties and grading; building codes and technologies; loading and design criteria for beams, columns, trusses, and wall and floor panels; and connections for wood structures. prereqs: CEGE 3401 or equivalent, upper division CSE or grad student, or instructor consent
