CHEM2920: Special Topics: Introduction to Machine Learning for Chemistry

This course introduces undergraduate students to the fundamentals of machine learning (ML) with a focus on its applications in chemistry. The course is designed for students with no prior experience in Python programming language or Machine Learning. The course is designed to introduce basic concepts and terminology of machine learning, illustrate basic approaches of machine learning as applied to a broad spectrum of problems relevant to chemistry, and demonstrate the strengths and limitations of machine learning for Chemistry. Prerequisites: Math 2374 , Chem 1062/1072/1072H or equivalent
