CHEM8412: Advanced Chemical Biology

Chemical biology is a rapidly changing field involving many different types of molecules. Selected topics covered in this advanced course, which vary by year, will focus on the application of emerging chemical biology approaches to study and/or modulate the function of the major biopolymer classes including proteins, nucleic acids and carbohydrates as well as smaller building blocks such as amino acids, sugars, nucleotides, lipids, and natural products and will include representative examples from current literature. Prereq: 8411 or instructor permission
