We will expand the theoretical and quantitative toolkit used to study contemporary issues in labor markets and their implication for the macroeconomy. A consistent thread throughout the course will be the role of firms in the labor market. This includes how firms set wages, how firms choose technologies to operate, and how firms choose to enter the market. Seven-week course.
