FINA4522: Options & Derivatives I

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to derivative contracts and their pay-offs and basic pricing and how they are used to manage risk or speculate in financial markets. Course presents forward and futures contracts, option contracts, and swap contracts. Prereq: CSOM mjr, (Fina 3001 or Fina 3001H or ApEc 3501; Fina 4121 or Fina 4121H), completion of or concurrent enrollment in Fina 4321 or Fina 4321H
