FSOS4101: Sexuality and Gender in Families and Close Relationships

This course explores human sexuality from biological, psychological, social, and cultural perspectives. Designed to develop both personal insight and professional competence, it fosters critical thinking and informed discussions on sexual health, identity, and behavior. Through research analysis and dialogue, students examine sexuality's role in human development and relationships. Students will reflect on their sexual values and assess their influence on relationships and professional interactions. They will critically evaluate societal norms, personal experiences, and biases in sexual science. Combining lectures, discussions, and interactive exercises, this course prepares students to approach sexuality-related issues with confidence, sensitivity, and ethical integrity. prereq: At least jr or instr consent
