FW1901: Coral Reef Management in Belize

In this seminar, we will examine the management of reef environments through experiential education and field work and learn about the importance of reefs, the influences that endanger reef ecosystems, and community action plans that are working to manage reef health. Over spring break, we will travel as a class to to the Mesoamerican Reef in Belize to snorkel and experience the reef and conservation planning first-hand. An ability to swim is required.
