The accelerating pace of discovery in the biomedical sciences requires in-depth knowledge of technological advances and their uses and consequences. This course will use round-table discussion to: 1) cover cutting-edge advances in biomedical science, 2) consider their impacts at the intersection of science, medicine, and society, and 3) hone skills at critical thinking, debate, communication, and oral presentation. The course is intended for advanced bioscience undergraduates including those considering postgraduate training and/or careers in the biological or biomedical sciences.
