HSM4043: Project and Program Management in Healthcare Management

This course offers a hands-on, practical approach to evidence-based project and program management within healthcare organizations. It provides a comprehensive examination of healthcare projects, the dynamics of project teams, and emerging trends that impact the field. Students will engage with various project management methodologies and applications while also developing essential leadership, facilitation, and team collaboration skills. Through case studies, real-world examples, discussions, and academic readings, students will gain insight into the strategies and frameworks utilized by professional healthcare project managers. By the conclusion of this course, students will have acquired experience in the key phases of project management, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure, preparing them to effectively manage healthcare projects.
