This course explores the latest networking advancements, including software-defined networking (SDN), network function virtualization (NFV), and the Internet of Things (IoT). Through readings, discussions, and hands-on projects, students will examine the design, management, and security implications of these technologies, gaining a real-world perspective on the evolving networking landscape and insights into future trends. To enhance their learning, students will gain access to CBT Nuggets, a premier IT training platform with resources tailored for the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification. Codes are valid for 394 days, with 365 days of access upon activation, providing flexibility to extend learning beyond the course. A $125 materials fee supports access to these valuable resources. Upon completing INET 4041, students can opt to pursue the CCNP certification independently, leveraging their coursework and CBT Nuggets training to advance their professional credentials. prereq: INET 4002 and INET 4011, or equivalents, or professional experience, to comprise a basic understanding and knowledge of operating systems, computer architecture, and probability theory.
