INET4153: Introduction to Security: Policy and Regulation

Explores the significant domestic and international regulatory demands faced by information technology management (IT) in business and industry, with attention to the effects of those regulations on IT Infrastructure policy, technology management, and decision making. Several major U.S. and international regulatory documents will be studied. IT governance, risk and compliance management frameworks, best practices, and common approaches used to meet todays regulatory challenges and support common business functions will be examined, as well as IT policies, procedures, and processes in highly regulated business sectors.prereq: experience with Windows/Internet; 45 semester credits
