In LEAD 3961, students engage with two key questions. How do leaders build and nurture communities? How do I want to lead in my communities?
In this class, we explore relational leadership theory and critically reflect on concepts that can disrupt systemic power imbalances and are integral to leading in community. We will practice utilizing the tools of group facilitation and Liberatory Design for leading in community. You will continue to develop your leader identity in the context of your existing communities and the communities you hope to build in the world.
LEAD 3961 includes a group project in both the in-person and online versions of the course.
This course is a 3-credit course (commitment of 9 hours/week) A-F only. prereq: LEAD 1961W or LEAD 1961V with a C- or better
