Numerical methods for differential equations, including ordinary differential equations (one-step method, multi-step method, consistency, stability, convergence, elliptic equations (finite difference method, convergence, finite element method), parabolic equations (stability and convergence, CFL condition), and hyperbolic equations (finite difference methods, conservative method, entropy condition). prereq: undergraduate courses or equivalent in linear algebra, differential equations, and advanced calculus
