MGMT4018: Philanthropy & Fundraising Strategy

This course provides students with the opportunity to delve into a critical component of nonprofit strategy, and to gain hands-on consulting experience in partnership with organizational leaders, active consultants and major philanthropists. Students examine the strategic landscape of the nonprofit sector.They learn the best practices of research, analysis, donor-centric engagement and supporter development. Then they devise and present strategic fundraising and engagement solutions for real-life nonprofit clients. By the end of this course, all participants take away valuable (and highly transferable) lessons about organizational sustainability while having a direct impact on important organizations in the Twin Cities and beyond.
