NURS3812: Fundamentals of Nursing Care Across the Lifespan II

This is the second of two courses examining fundamental concepts supporting evidence-based, person-centered nursing care across the lifespan. Includes psychosocial, physiological, genetic, developmental, and environmental health factors applied to the holistic nursing care of families, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older-adult clients. Concepts integrate introductory pharmacological and pathophysiological concepts. Emphasis is placed on understanding high frequency, low acuity psychosocial and physiological disruptions in health and wellness. Nursing practice that advances diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated in all topics. Content supports the understanding of the nursing process and application of clinical reasoning within an interprofessional framework to support health promotion, disease prevention, chronic disease management, and acute restorative care.
