This beginner-level course introduces students of all abilities to the exciting sport of squash, one of the world's fastest ball games. Students will learn the game's rules, etiquette, safety, techniques, strategy, and culture of this centuries-old sport dating back to the 1800s. Physical literacy will be developed through in-class drills and activities, as well as footwork, agility, hand-eye coordination, decision-making, and spatial awareness required for the compact indoor court. The course aims to foster a lifelong interest in this physically demanding yet incredibly fun game by providing opportunities for students to engage in the local squash community and explore competitive and recreational avenues.
