How do we determine what is right and wrong? How should we approach the complex moral problems that face us today? This course aims to cultivate the ability to think critically, competently, and carefully about moral problems (such as capital punishment, abortion, affirmative action, and animal rights), and to present those arguments in a persuasive and constructive form (specific topics vary with the instructor).
