PSY4011: Applied Behavior Analysis

Psychology 4011/5011: Applied Behavior Analysis Spring Semester Only This course focuses on the basic concepts of applied behavior analysis and their practical application to improving the human condition. Students learn how behavioral principles are applied to the development of the everyday behavior of both humans and nonhumans. Students also learn about the analysis and solution of the important behavior problems that can face all children and adults. The course illustrates why and how to collect and analyze behavioral data and how to design and implement behavior intervention programs. Issues in professional ethics and clients’ rights are also discussed. Psy 4011/5011 can serve as preparation for the exams of the international Behavior Analyst Certification Board (see www.bacb.com). prereq: 3011 or instr consent
